Media Statement from Mayfield Dinner Theatre

Edmonton, Alberta, July 19th, 2014 – We can confirm that Glenn Nelson, a well-known actor who has performed on the Mayfield stage many times, will take on the lead role in the popular play “The Last Romance”, playing at the Mayfield Dinner Theatre through August 3rd.

Jamie Farr, who took ill a couple of weeks ago during a performance, is doing well however in the interest of his health and full recovery and upon his request, he will be leaving the production.

Glenn is very well known to Edmonton audiences and has performed extensively throughout the city as well as the Mayfield stage.

Our city is full of Jamie Farr fans and although there may be some initial disappointment, we assure you that the show is in good hands and our patrons will continue to have an enjoyable evening at the theatre. Please join us in wishing Jamie a quick recovery to good health.
