Re-Opening Status

THE MAYFIELD DINNER THEATRE IS OPENING!

We are excited to announce that we will open as planned on September 8th! We cannot wait to welcome you all back to the Theatre.

Due to continued restrictions from the Alberta Government we have implemented changes to ensure our productions can all be presented within Alberta Health Service (AHS) Guidelines while still maintaining our commitment to deliver an exceptional dinner theatre experience. Below you will find a summary of how we plan to keep you safe in our Theatre.

SOCIAL DISTANCING 

All areas of the Theatre have been addressed to allow for appropriate social distancing. This includes the lineup area, lobby and washrooms. We have also added directional arrows within the theatre to manage the flow of guests and avoid any congestion.

SHARING POLICY

We will not be enforcing our usual sharing policy while social distancing is in effect. Once you purchase tickets, the table is yours and no other party will be seated with you. You are welcome to purchase any extra seats available at your table for members of your family or cohort to join you.

NEW TABLE MAP

We have adjusted our seating capacity and table layout to allow for a distance of two meters between all tables. As per AHS requirements we have also added tempered glass to heighten the back of our booths, providing a crystal-clear view of the stage in addition to being a safety barrier between the booths and tables.

MEAL SERVICE

Given the number of guests in our theatre and the setup of our buffet room, we cannot effectively move our patrons through the buffet line in a safe and socially distant manner. Therefore, our Culinary Team has prepared a scrumptious four-course menu for both the evening and brunch performances. Once you arrive at the Theatre, your server will review the choices with you and take your order and your freshly prepared meal will be served at your table. If you have allergies and/or dietary restrictions please contact the Special Meal Line at least 48 hours prior to your show date at (780) 930-4048 and they will be pleased to review the options with you.

SANITIZATION AND MASKS 

Hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout the Theatre and all surfaces are disinfected regularly. Our Servers and Bussers will all be required to wear a face shield and gloves, which will also be changed regularly. Effective August 1st, the City of Edmonton has mandated that masks be worn in all public places and entertainment venues, but are not required when you are dining. This means that masks will be required to enter the Theatre and when moving about to use the washroom, but you are free to remove the mask when you are seated at your table. You may bring your own mask from home or we will have disposable masks available for purchase.

PERFORMANCE RESTRICTIONS 

Social distancing also affects our performers and their ability to interact on stage. This means that the productions we had previously scheduled involving large casts cannot safely proceed as planned. Our new lineup features stellar productions that are all consistent with AHS Guidelines while maintaining the high performance standard you have come to expect at the Mayfield Dinner Theatre.

WHEN WILL TICKETS GO ON SALE?

Tickets for the first production of the season are on sale now! The remaining productions will be on sale soon. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list for first call backs, please email us at tickets@mayfieldtheatre.ca.

WHAT IF I HAD A TICKET FOR ROCK OF AGES?

If you are a season ticket holder, your additional tickets have been automatically carried over to the new production. For all other guests, the cancelled tickets have been automatically credited to your account. Account credits never expire and can be used in many ways – such as the purchase of tickets for any future performance, the purchase of a gift card, or it can even be applied to a season subscription package! There is no rush to use this account credit, so please give us a call when you’re ready to do so.

WHAT IF I STILL HAVE A QUESTION?

The Box Office is now open for in-person transactions, Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm. The Call Centre is also available at  (780) 483-4051,  Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 3pm.
